Horoku

Roasting pan to make Hojicha.

Made one by one, by hand of a Shigaraki potter

This pan is usually used by tea masters to develop a new product or welcome their guests with freshly made hojicha.

You can use this on your special event or workshops at your shops/restaurant.

Shigaraki town, where our tea fields are located, is also very famous for "Shigaraki ware".

The kiln is one of 6 ancient kilns in Japan and it has over 1200 years of history.

These wares are made of the sand clay from Lake Biwa, the biffest lake in Japan. They are warm orangish brown colored and more durable.
